What is Signet?
The origin of signets dates back to ancient times. Originally used as seals, they were items used by royalty and nobility to indicate their authority and status. Signets were engraved with the owner's coat of arms, initials, or family crest, and were used to seal letters and other documents.
This traditional element has been incorporated into modern jewelry design, and has developed into more than just an ornament but also a means of expressing personal identity and story. Today, they come in various forms, ranging from rings to pendants and earrings, each with a special meaning tailored to its owner. To date, signets continue to hold appeal and accentuates personal style.

As with other courses at MITUBACI TOKYO, you can also experience hand-engraving on your signet jewelry! Get hands on with our metal stamps and personalize your signet jewelry with initials, lucky numbers, or our in-house engraving stamps etc. for free!
