MITUBACI offers remote classes in support of the Saturday Study Ouen-dan program organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). The Saturday Study Ouen-dan is an activity in which various companies, organizations, universities, etc. conduct unique and attractive educational activities by giving on-site classes and visiting facilities to support children's rich learning. MITUBACI is preparing an "educational program": How Jewelry is Made (on-site or remote class). We hope to convey the appeal of jewelry-related work through demonstrations and case studies of jewelry production.

We have been requested by Daiichi Gakuin High School to conduct a remote class.

The workshop and school were connected via Zoom to demonstrate how a ring is made in approximately one hour.

Schools were Hakata Campus, Kokura Campus, Takasaki Campus, classrooms at both campuses, and some participants at home.

We had to complete the entire dish in about 45 minutes, so we proceeded as if it were a cooking show, preparing some of the ingredients that were halfway done.

As MITUBACI, we were able to see the place where we usually make rings and the tools, and we were able to make rings using the same procedures as usual, and the students were able to observe the class without the need to move around.

I was very happy to receive many "thank you" letters from the students later in the day.

Here are a few.

Second-year student, Mr. K.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule today to host the Dream Class. It was very easy to understand how rings are made. There were many tools in the workshop, such as files, hand clippers, burners, etc., and I could understand how they usually work. I have loved rings since I was a child, and my dream in kindergarten was to become a ring maker. I wanted to make rings someday, so I was moved by the process of forming rings. I like detailed work, so I think I am suited for this job, but on the other hand, I am worried when it comes to handling the technology of tools such as gas burners. Thank you once again.

First-year student, Mr. S.

Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule to prepare this. I was very surprised to see how the rings were made from scratch.
I thought it was hard work because it was not made by machine but by hand, using a gas burner and a canazoo.
If I had the opportunity to buy a ring I would go to the MITUBACI store.

I received many others and was very impressed.

I would be happy if this class could make you interested in becoming a jewelry craftsman or working in the jewelry industry.
