Hello, this is MITUBACI staff Nishimura.
The other day, I went to Itoigawa in Niigata Prefecture as part of a company off-site meeting.MITUBACI conducts an out-of-town training once a year, away from Tokyo.
This year we went to Fossa Magna Museum and Itoigawa, where you can enjoy looking for jade. We had meetings, visited the museum, and enjoyed a BBQ, but the search for jade on the beach was unexpectedly exciting.

We went to a place called Oyashirazu Beach, a little further west than the Jade Beach.
I was worried that it would be too hot to search in the height of summer, but it was a day with a few clouds, so I explored for about 30 minutes.
Since many of our staff members are knowledgeable in their professions, I was able to learn a lot from them as I searched for the right place.
Jade is white, green or blackish, sometimes bluish.
It is a very hard stone, and also very hard to break, so it should be more like a triangle than a circle.
It's easier to find them when they're wet and shiny!
This is a zakzaky search in light of the fact that
The stone found by Ms. Fujimori's daughter was a beautiful green color and might be jade! It might be jade!

Here are the stones collected by craftsman Shindo

I was polishing a beautiful round stone in here.

It's not jade," but it's shiny and beautiful, and the size is perfect for an accessory.
I ran out of energy and decided to collect various colors and types of stones instead of jade.

What I like best is the white stone that lets light through.

I think the stone has a lot of granite and an ash-like component.
I also picked up some jade-like stones.

I also wanted it to be shiny like Shindo's stone, so I polished it with a buffing machine that polishes rings, but to my surprise, it didn't change at all! I am thinking that this hardness must be jade.
It was a beautiful place with many different types of stones and clean water!
