Looking for premium handmade jewelry? Create a one-of-a-kind platinum or 18k gold ring to commemorate special occasions, for yourself or for/with someone special. The materials for this course are the same high-quality precious metals as our bridal jewelry, so rest assured of the durability of your long-lasting jewelry.

THE MAKING

Our expert artisans with profound experience in order-made jewelry will guide you through the entire workshop, one-to-one for individuals and one-to-two for pairs, to create and complete your ideal ring in 2 to 3 hours! We also offer personalized design options such as hand engraving and stone setting at a fixed price.
Make a ring that is uniquely yours with us today!

Choosing Materials, Widths, and Design

Starting with design consultation, we will walk you through our samples and guide you in choosing your preferred material, ring width, designs, and finishes for your rings.

Engraving

You may opt for free engraving methods like metal stamping which comprises alphabets, numerals, and original icons. Before working on your actual ring, we will provide you with a silver bar to practice engraving.

Shaping

Once engraving is completed, you will start shaping the metal bar into a ring. This process requires strength and support, hence you and your partner may need to help each other out.

Soldering

After rounding, you will solder your ring under the guidance of our craftsman. Our artisans will solder all platinum rings as they require a license to operate the burner.

Texturing

Depending on the design of your ring, texturing or lathe machine-cutting will come next. If you chose a plain finish, polishing will be done at this stage.

Sanding & Polishing

At this stage, you will work with several tools to smoothen and polish the surfaces of your ring.

Completion

Your ring is completed after a light and final polish. If you wish to set diamond(s) or birthstone(s) on your ring, our artisans will work on them afterward, and you can take them home on the same day!

Reasonably Priced

At MITUBACI TOKYO, we strive to present a transparent and reasonable pricing system. Factors that determine the price are the material of the ring, its width and the design add-ons you choose. Your choice of jewelry texture, manual hand-engraving with metal stamps or engraving by machine, as well as the material weight or fluctuations in the precious metal market, does not incur additional costs.
  • Please note that larger sizes incur additional costs: +10% fee for sizes 20.5 to 25, +20% fee for sizes 25.5 to 30. Even larger sizes will be considered a custom order, so please drop us an inquiry for pricing.
  • If you wish to have only one ring made instead of a pair, you may make it for the price of one.
  • Prices include tax.

FAQ

Our platinum / 18k gold ring workshop has the same flow as our wedding band workshop. However, this workshop is catered for those who want premium jewelry that is not a wedding band.

Yes, most of our customers who visit our store are making rings for the first time, but rest assured that our professional metal engravers will carefully assist you and help you with any difficult parts. We will measure the ring size on the day of your visit to ensure that it fits your finger perfectly. For hand engraving, we will explain and practice how to engrave before the actual engraving. The forging process produces a ring that is stronger, less fragile, and of higher quality than the lost wax process. We also offer Senban Finishes, where our craftsmen use a lathe to shape the ring.
